About Interfaith Festival

On Sunday June 9th 2013, the Mornington Peninsula community will come together in the spirit of peace to celebrate at the Mornington Peninsula Interfaith Festival.

This annual festival is a celebration of multiculturalism and multifaith in the Mornington Peninsula region and across Victoria. The festival celebrates the diversity of cultures and faiths through music, dance, art, film, workshops and food.

This year’s theme A Celebration of Community, honours the social fabric which makes up our community. Particular recognition will be given by the Order of Australia Regional Group to Probus Clubs on the Mornington Peninsula for the contribution their members have made to our diverse community.

There are many activities to take part in, such as 'Whale Dreaming Song-Telling', 'Boomerang Painting and Throwing', 'African Drumming and Dancing', 'Choir Singing', 'Arts Drawing', 'Laughter Yoga' plus much more.

Festival includes a Multifaith Blessing, Art and Film Exhibitions, Stalls, Food, Kids Activities and a Multicultural Concert with performances from Aboriginal, Cook Islands, African-Ghanese and Maori communities.

Come and celebrate in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Bring your entire family as there will be special activities for the kids.

Festival is FREE and commences 12:30pm till 5:30pm.
